Vio Link X Shadow Link Funny

The Vio/Shadow ficlet nobody asked for! It's some sort of Modern AU, vaguely inspired by a walk I took this morning, and more of a half-lucid exercise in flash fiction than anything else, but y'know what? It's fun and I like it

Among the Crags

Grey light illuminated the path winding up along the crag. It twisted between the roots of old pine trees. Red bark flaked below the branches. Browned needles softened their running footsteps. Pinecones and twigs crackled.

Ahead of Vio, Shadow easily leaped up a steep section of the path and skipped across the roots. His coat (technically Vio's) flared behind him. He was laughing, purple hair tousled and unkempt.

Then he disappeared over a ridge.

Vio scaled the steep section, feet sure where Shadow's were light, passed the roots, and paused at the ridge. Up here, a single large pine tree stood between the path and the edge of the cliff. Shadow stood by the pine, hand resting on the bark as he gazed out across the cityscape below them. It stretched out all the way to the seaside, where tall office building congregated against the sunrise. Below them, streetlights still shone. A flash of a tram rumbling along an empty road. Not even the birds were awake yet.

Placing his feet as silently as he could, Vio approached.

Shadow didn't move.

Vio extended his hands.

Shadow sighed softly, visibly enraptured by the view.

Vio placed his hands on Shadow's waist. He opened his mouth to say, teasingly, "Caught you", but before even a sound could pass his lips, Shadow grabbed his hands, turned, and shoved him. He slammed into the rough stem of the pine. Even through his hoodie, he felt the uneven bark.

Shadow smirked. His eyes gleamed with self-satisfaction. "Careful, there's traps."

Vio smiled. "You sure about that?"

"I lured you in."

"Maybe that's what I want you to think?"

"Does it make a difference?"

"Absolutely."

"Enlighten me."

Vio hooked his ankle around Shadow's and tugged. Shadow stumbled. Using the imbalance, Vio twisted his hands in Shadow's grip, tumbled them both into the cover of red bark and pine needles, and pinned Shadow's wrists to the ground. He grinned. "Caught you."

Shadow grinned. "Rude."

Vio leaned down and kissed him. When he pulled back, he asked, "When was I ever polite?"

Shadow burst into laughter. "Too often, Vi." He wriggled his hands, and Vio released him. Rather than sit up, however, Shadow wrapped his arms around Vio's neck and pulled him back in. "I think the rudeness suits you."

Vio smiled. He shifted his weight onto one arm and tucked Shadow's hair back. "You're a bad influence on me, you know that?"

Shadow's expression softened. "Someone's got to make sure you learn to look after yourself." He bumped his nose against Vio's. "Nerd."

Vio laughed, then, tilted his head, and caught Shadow's lips a second time.

Like there is no escaping him

Is always v warm some how so you rarely need a blanket

Loves cuddling so you face each other!

Snacks are a must

Will fall asleep super fast but wake up and say he wasn't asleep

winter cuddles by the fire

Very energetic even when cuddling

Likely to tickle you/tell jokes to make you laugh

Blue:

Likes being little spoon, but will never admit this out loud

Likes playing with your hands

Least likely to fall asleep

Will randomly bite you

But will also kiss said spot in apology

Loves to listen to you talk, you're voice is his favorite

Foot wars under the blanket (he'll let you win)

He will cover you in a million blankets if you hint at being slightly cold

If you're quiet enough you'll hear him humming

Will let every limb go dead numb before thinking of waking you up

Green:

Prefers to lay on you

His favorite thing is when you play with his hair

He's like a cat just pet him and he'll be fine

He will kiss any part of you he can reach (your cheek,hand,shoulder)

Likes to just flop on you when he thinks you're working too hard

Like straight up all his weight no holding back flop

Will tell you stories either of his adventures,the minish, or ones he completely makes up

100% does stupid little voices for the stories

Definitely the napper of the colors

If you lay next to him he'll just rest his forehead on yours

If you both have been to quiet for too long he will obnoxiously snore, or make some silly noise

Vio:

He likes to have you lay on him

Will read to you while you relax

Draws shapes from the story on your back

Likes to play with your hair if he can reach it

Will make it a point to position himself to reach it

Tends to run cold so tons of blankets

He will tuck your face into his neck and just hold you there

Talks to you even if you fall asleep (you fake sleep sometimes to hear him)

Very rarely will be little spoon but very sleepy when he is

Forehead kisses for the win

When he sees you're stressed he'll grab your favorite book/blanket and just kidnap you to lay down

Bonus Shadow:

Is least likely to cuddle

Wants to keep his mean image

Is actually very cuddley under the right circumstances

Will fold if you give him any form of puppy eyes to cuddle

Likes to drown you in on big blanket

Like a burrito

Will be big spoon and cover you entirely

Likes to put his face in you hair

Hand is constantly on your chest/side to feel your heart beat;he finds it soothing

Will kiss your hand a lot

Not a fan of super silence so will play fight/bicker with you (all in good fun though)
